MSYS Core contains the basic utilities that comprise a MSYS installation. It is meant to be used by an automated installer, but it also can be unpacked manually.

Changes:
- Numerous bugfixes.
- Newer versions of most tools.
- New tools: lzma and file.
- Convenient mount/umount scripts.
- Vista compatibility.
- Sensible key-bindings for command-line editing.
- The shipped `make' tool is more flexible regarding case sensitivity of rules and file names.

It fixes a bug were the "find" tool did not report all expected matches, and avoids printing extra debug info when using the "less" tool. (0 comments)

`cpmake', a case-preserving variant of GNU Make, tries to be a compromise between a full case-insensitive Make and a full case-sensitive one. When searching for file names in the
filesystem, a case insensitive match will be performed, but only if a case sensitive match is not found first. In a related change, `cpmake' avoids normalizing targets and file names to lowercase, i.e. `cpmake' is internally case-preserving as well. (0 comments)
